Postcard From Savannah, Georgia
TRAVEL GUIDE
Savannah is one of the most charming coastal cities in the U. S. This quaint and historic city is known for its antebellum architecture and cobblestoned streets. I had the pleasure of walking those streets and discovering all of its beauty and history first-hand. There were so many wonderful things that happened in this city, and I could feel the energy of these events and places permeating through every place I visited. Visiting this whimsical and soulful place is an absolute must!
CAFES
Cafe M
Breakfast & Brunch Cafe
This is hands-down the cutest cafe ever! I loved being in this spot so much. It felt so much like a little coffee shop in Paris. They open early every morning and have delicious breakfast sandwiches. The perfect spot to read and drink a chai latte. I found myself visiting this cafe quite often during my time spent in Savannah, and I’d suggest it to anyone looking for yummy food and a pretty aesthetic.

The Paris Market & Brocante
Cafe & Antique Shop
I found this Gem in the heart of downtown Savannah, and I’m ecstatic I did. From the moment I walked in, I felt as if I was in a Parisian dream. Who would’ve thought such a place could exist, and right here in the United States?
I found myself (day after day) sitting in the cafe portion of the shop, sipping cup after cup of chai lattes, eating croissants, and designing my heart away. It’s the perfect place to catch up on a good read, work creatively, and chat over your favorite beverage. Once I was finished with work, I wondered off into the magical place of artisanal and vintage goods they call “the market.”

THRIFT SHOPPING
Goodwill
Thrift Shop
Thrifting in different cities is my absolutely favorite thing to do when I am traveling. I’ve found the items in these thrift shops really reflect the culture of the city, thus makes for some really special finds. Savannah is charming and quaint, and I discovered items that truly told the story of the city. I particularly like to visit the Goodwills in these cities because I love the Goodwill’s mission. Knowing that I’m able to give back when shopping at these locations feels wonderful.

DINERS & RESTAURANTS
The Little Duck
Breakfast & Diner
This place was quite the gem! It had a very vintage yet modern feel. I ordered the crab cake and it was delicious, my husband ordered their bibimbap. I loved that this diner was open for brunch, and dinner. The hosts and servers were also very friendly and welcoming.

Flock To The Wok
Diner
I never thought dining in a brass birdcage would be so lovely. I ate fried rice and sipped on crafted cocktails here. In its intimate setting, I watched the chefs toss and do tricks with food over magical flames. This diner had a modern and traditional twist on Chinese cuisine, and I loved every moment of it. There’s even a downstairs peacock lounge for you to get away and unwind in an intimate setting.

NIGHT CAPS
The Artillery
Cocktail Bar
This sexy little spot is a sophisticated speakeasy in a restored armory with a long list of beautiful cocktails and bourbon. A friend of mine suggested it, and I’m so happy she did. It was one of my favorite places discovered in Savannah. The artillery was the perfect spot for a date night. It brought about about the perfect ambience for my husband and I to sit close, order a few cocktails, flirt a little, and chat about our night.

The Bohemian Hotel
Rocks On The Roof
Hotel and Rooftop Bar
This hotel rooftop was very Rustic-boho - just swanky enough for a few drinks and finger foods! The perfect place to visit with friends. There’s a scenic waterfront (Savannah River) where you can look across and see South Carolina. They even have free wifi!

TOURS
Old Savannah Tours
Tours
This tour is my best recommendation! If you purchase a ticket for one of these tours, you’ll be able to use the trolly stops throughout the day, as they have several pickup locations. This means you could start a tour and for example, exit stop #5 - after walking around and visiting a few shops and cafes, you catch the trolly ( back at the same stop), and pick the tour up right where you left off. Its a great way to save on transportation, while making getting around convenient. I’d also say it’s the best tour in the city.
They have a day tour where you’ll learn about the history, monumental buildings/ places, and people who have visited and lived in savannah, and they even have nightly “haunted” tours. The Old Savannah Tours are unique, as they have characters that get onto the the trolly during every other stop to act out and talk about the significance of a place and the roll they played in making history.
